One day left to give your abstract the finishing touch – ERA-EDTA abstract submission closes on January 25, 2019, 23.59 CET.
Communications should concern all aspects of nephrology, the prevention and treatment of renal diseases and associated conditions and/or the scientific background to the study of kidneys. Having your abstract accepted gives you the opportunity to present your work to the nephrology community at the ERA-EDTA Congress.

IDON-Study survey on Nutritional Practice in non-dialysis CKD patients
The ERN Working Group has launched a Survey aimed at identifying the clinical priorities in Nutritional Practice for non-dialysis chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients by gathering views from different Stakeholders involved in CKD care (Nephrologists, Nutritionists, Dietitians, Nurses and Patients). We invite you to actively participate in this Survey that should take no more than 20 minutes. The Survey is available in several languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian). We appreciate if you could share this link with all of your professional contacts and any national and international scientific and/or patients’ associations involved in CKD care you are currently in contact with.

Intradialytic exercise preconditioning: an exploratory study on the effect on myocardial stunning
Is it indicated to encourage patients to exercise during their dialysis sessions? This study suggests that there is less dialysis induced acute cardiac injury in patients who take part in interdialytic exercise.

Should marijuana users be considered as candidates for living kidney donation?
According to the results of a new study recently published in the CKJ, there is no difference in renal function between marijuana-using donors and non-marijuana-using donors after kidney donation. In addition, there is no difference between marijuana kidney recipients and non-marijuana kidney recipients after the transplant.
