The EURORECKD (European Association for Rehabilitation in Chronic Kidney Disease) is an organization with a mission to improve prognosis and health-related quality of life in patients with CKD by promoting physical activity and exercise training. Before starting exercise training, each person should undergo tests of physical function so that the exercise training can be adapted to each person’s individual capacity. The nephrologist should encourage exercise training and a trained exercise physiologist or physiotherapist should design and monitor the training program.

Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) is the global organization developing and implementing evidence-based clinical practice guidelines in kidney disease.
KDIGO guidelines focus on topics related to the prevention or management of individuals with kidney diseases. Additional resources are complementing the guidelines such as presentations, explanatory videos and webinars as well as translations of the guidelines.
