The 63rd ERA Congress, Glasgow and virtual, United Kingdom 03/06/2026 – 06/06/2026, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 22.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

ERA will provide an invitation letter after the registration to the Congress is finalized and paid. This invitation letter will be available at your MyERA account. The invitation letter will be in English and may be a valid document for University, Hospital, Industry, and any other professional requirement as proof of registration. The invitation letter may NOT be sufficient as a visa support letter if any embassy or consulate requires additional information.

Please note that entry into the United Kingdom requires a valid passport and an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation).

Depending on your citizenship, you may need to obtain a visa to enter United Kingdom. For detailed information, visit the website of the UK Government.

It is solely the delegate’s responsibility to investigate the visa requirements for UK and apply for a visa/ETA, if necessary. Neither the conference organizers nor ERA will contact embassies or consulates directly on behalf of visa applicants despite embassies do request it.

To assure a smooth process any visa should be requested at least 2 months prior to departure. Later applications might be possible, however, as the application process can take several weeks, it might be possible that the visa will not be released on time. Neither ERA nor the conference organizers are able to speed up any visa application process with any embassy or consulate.
