New ERA-EDTA Membership fees and educational materials for developing countries

The ERA-EDTA Council has decided to extend the “Special Discounted Membership Fees” to members living in all countries in the world whose Gross Domestic Product per capita income is less than USD 10,000 a year (calculated on the 2011 data of the International Monetary Fund, World Economic Outlook Database 2012). This discount will be valid for the 2013-2014 and 2015 annual ERA-EDTA membership fees. If you live and work in one of the Countries listed here (link) you are entitled to pay these special discounted fees (EUR 35.00 – special discounted online fee; EUR 85.00 – special discounted full fee).

ERA-EDTA also supports continual education for doctors living in developing countries thanks to the HINARI Programme which gives medical professionals access to one of the world's largest collections of biomedical and health literature. Up to 11,400 journals (including NDT and CKJ), up to 18,500 e-books, up to 70 other information resources are now available to health institutions in more than 100 countries, areas and territories benefiting many thousands of health workers and researchers, and in turn, contributing to improve world health.
