Podcast Team

I. Aim of the project

1. To share knowledge, promote educational opportunities and discussion around trending topics in Nephrology 
2. To produce innovative educational content for the ERA digital channels (social media, website) 

 

II. Composition, nominations and term

1. The Podcast Team should have up to 3 members: one Ex-Officio Member and up to two Members 
2. The Ex-Officio Member must be a current Council Member in charge of supporting the M&C Team in the ERA HQ 
3. The other Members are nominated by the Ex-Officio Member after an open call and must be approved by the Council before their term can start 
4. The Ex-Officio Member will have one-to-one interviews with the candidates before the selection, if and when appropriate 
5. The term will last three years with a mandate to produce one podcast series per year (from January to December; July and August are excluded). Each Podcast Team Member can only be renewed for another three-years term by the Ex-Officio Member and approved by the Council
6. The term of the Ex-Officio Member is strictly related to his/her term among the Council 
7. An appropriate application form will be used for the Podcast Team candidates 
8. In the application form the Podcast Team candidates can select if they are willing to contribute as hosts or only proposing topic and guests 

 

III. Essential criteria 

1. Good scientific track record in nephrology and related subjects and its underlying sciences as well as in education 
2. Recent experience in educational activities 
3. Excellent communication skills 
4. Digital mindset 
5. Good command of the English language 
6. Previous experience in podcast projects (not mandatory, but preferable) 
7. Strongly supportive of ERA’s Mission and Vision to improve its educational aims 
8. Must be a member of ERA (Full Member) 

 

IV. Tasks

1. The Podcast Team must work together with the Staff members appointed for this project 
2. The Podcast Team should produce at least 10 episodes and maximum 30 episodes per series 
3. The Podcast Team is in charge of proposing the list of topics and guests which will be approved by the Ex-Officio Member 
4. The Host/Hosts will prepare the questions/script and moderate the discussion during the recording of each episode (30 minutes maximum) 
5. The Podcast Team will promote the project. This might be via local channels within his/her institution, via national channels and his/her national society and via social media 

 

V. Benefits

1. Free ERA Congress registration 
2. A special Diploma at the end of the term
