Interplan is the official partner for accommodation bookings for ERA Congress 2026. We kindly invite all participants to book their hotel accommodation via the official booking link.
Please be aware that an increasing number of fraudulent companies are offering hotel rooms and/or registrations to congress attendees. If you are contacted by any company or agency other than Interplan offering housing for the ERA Congress 2026 in Glasgow, don’t hesitate to contact us at era-congress@interplan.de. Please note that these companies are not authorized to represent the ERA in any way, nor do they have access to the officially contracted ERA Congress 2026 room blocks or rates.

How Does Hotel Fraud Work?
These groups promote attractive deals with local accommodation providers, but once payment has been received, the company disappears and can no longer be contacted by phone or email. Once the attendee contacts the hotel directly about their room, they realise the hotel has no record of them or their stay. Not only is their money gone, but they must also then scramble to find last-minute accommodation, which is rarely convenient to the venue.

Use credit cards to guarantee your rooms, rather than wire transfers.
ETA, Visa & Invitation letters
ERA will provide an invitation letter after the registration to the Congress is finalized and paid. This invitation letter will be available at your MyERA account. The invitation letter will be in English and may be a valid document for University, Hospital, Industry, and any other professional requirement as proof of registration. The invitation letter may NOT be sufficient as a visa support letter if any embassy or consulate requires additional information.
Depending on your citizenship, you may need to obtain a visa and/or ETA to enter United Kingdom. For detailed information, visit the website of the UK Government.
It is solely the delegate’s responsibility to investigate the visa requirements for UK and apply for a visa/ETA, if necessary. Neither the conference organizers nor ERA will contact embassies or consulates directly on behalf of visa applicants despite embassies do request it.
To assure a smooth process any visa should be requested at least 2 months prior to departure. Later applications might be possible, however, as the application process can take several weeks, it might be possible that the visa will not be released on time. Neither ERA nor the conference organizers are able to speed up any visa application process with any embassy or consulate.

Please ensure that copies of passport, hotel & registration confirmation are enclosed to any request for visa support. Furthermore, we kindly ask you to specify which embassy is meant to receive your application (UK Embassy of which city/country).
