The ERA Registry Fellowship Programme is a valuable opportunity for epidemiologists, researchers, and data analysts interested in nephrology research. It provides exposure to large-scale registry data and offers insights into the epidemiology of kidney diseases across Europe.

Yes. The fellowship allowed me to work on three research projects, giving me experience in research methodologies, data interpretation, and registry-based studies.

As an epidemiologist with a special interest in nephrology, the fellowship expanded my experience with real-world nephrology data and provided networking opportunities with leading researchers. It also reinforced my understanding of registry-based research and its role in nephrology policy and public health.

During my fellowship, I worked on projects focusing on primary glomerulonephritis, the burden of end-stage kidney disease in Europe, and the clinical profile of long-term survivors on kidney replacement therapy. Additionally, I collaborated on preparing and auditing the ERA Registry annual report, which strengthened my familiarity with large-scale epidemiological datasets.
Beyond research, the fellowship provided an opportunity to present findings at the ERA Congress and work within a collaborative research environment. It also helped me build professional relationships, form new friendships, and gain exposure to diverse cultures.
