Will the Congress feature educational sessions?
Yes. The Congress will feature educational sessions organised by the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Committee, as well as hands-on practical courses taking place on the first day of the Congress.
How is the Scientific Programme structured?
The 64th ERA Congress will offer a comprehensive scientific programme combining cutting-edge research with state-of-the-art updates across the most important areas of kidney disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
The programme is organised into seven main scientific tracks:

How many speakers will be invited?
Approximately 250 internationally recognised speakers will share their expertise, presenting the latest advances in research, clinical practice and kidney disease management. The programme will also highlight the perspectives and experiences of patients.
Which kind of sessions can we expect?
The Scientific Programme includes a wide variety of session formats, including:

These sessions cover all aspects of basic, translational and clinical nephrology, showcasing the latest scientific developments in the field.
What is the format of the 64th ERA Congress?
The 64th ERA Congress will take place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and will be held in a hybrid format, allowing delegates to participate either in person or virtually.
Will all sessions be available on-demand?
Yes. Most sessions will be made available on demand shortly after they conclude and can be accessed through the Congress platform by registered participants.
A valid Congress registration is required to access the on-demand content.
Certificate of attendance
Certificates of attendance will be available to all registered delegates who attend the Congress, taking place on June 3-6, 2027.
Certificates can be downloaded from the “Annual Congress” section of My ERA.
Please note that the certificate will indicate the exact number of days you attended the Congress.
What is the language of the Congress?
The official language of the Congress is English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.

The Scientific Committee carefully selects all Congress speakers to ensure professional proficiency, gender equality and geographical balance.

Which is the presentation time and the Q&A time in each symposium?
90-minute morning symposia: Up to three presentations
60-minute afternoon symposia: Up to two presentations
Time for questions and discussion is included within the overall session duration.
