How has the recognition from the ERA Awards affected your career trajectory and opportunities for collaboration?

The recognition from the ERA Awards was a lovely surprise and a real morale boost for our entire team. The best part has been the community. It’s introduced me to a group of great nephrologist, academics, and other healthcare professionals. I feel like this has supported to further expand my network of people I can ask to collaborate on shared challenges.

Can you share any upcoming projects or goals you have in mind that continue to stimulate the dialogue between education and research in your field?

I want to foster a climate where students feel free to learn from each other and provide feedback which helps us shape our next research questions. By involving students in the feedback process earlier, and keeping academia accessible for everyone, we aren't just teaching facts; we’re training the next generation of researchers, ensuring the dialogue between research and educations remains fluid and iterative.
