ERAC & ENDI Grants for Oxford Leadership Programmes
Supported by WERA Task Force
The WERA Task Force, thanks to the ERA Curatorium and the ENDI Foundation, supports the training of female professionists working in the nephrology field and future leaders by offering six grants to attend courses in Oxford:
- three for the Women Transforming Leadership Programme
- three for the Oxford Healthcare Leadership Programme
Women Transforming Leadership Programme
This course blends diverse teaching styles and experiential learning to create a stimulating and supportive environment for leadership development.
Designed for women with experience in influential leadership roles (with a minimum of three to five years; this experience can include roles in project management, line management, or stakeholder management), the programme is particularly suited to those working in male-dominated industries and teams. Participants are encouraged to approach the experience with an open mind and a willingness to share both successes and challenges.
What to Expect
- Explore career strategies to help you achieve your goals.
- Develop self-awareness to navigate leadership challenges successfully.
- Engage in intellectual and emotional growth through new experiences.
- Learn in a safe and supportive space that encourages experimentation.
Further information
The Women Transforming Leadership Programme is a 5-day course that provides a learning environment for women to develop their leadership blueprint and identity. The participants will learn to lead in a way that embraces their unique qualities, rather than adopting a particular “leadership style”.
The candidate must provide excellent references, a clear/relevant personal statement and work experience in the field of nephrology.
Oxford Healthcare Leadership Programme
This course offers a comprehensive exploration of healthcare leadership, featuring evening speakers and networking dinners.
Key Themes Covered
- Understanding the Environment: Explore healthcare megatrends, including economic and business model disruptions, and technological advancements.
- Discerning Effective Strategy: Develop strategies for navigating disruption and forming a robust digital strategy.
- Driving Innovation: Learn how to lead system redesigns with a focus on safety, quality, and fostering an innovation culture.
- Increasing Performance: Build high-performance teams, address underperformance, and engage in critical conversations.
- Enhancing Leadership Style: Focus on self-development, maintaining resilience, and honing negotiation skills.
This programme equips healthcare leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate complexity, drive innovation, and lead effectively in an evolving landscape.
Further details
The Oxford Healthcare Leadership Programme is a 6-day course that will help the participants to interpret the highly complex and rapidly changing global healthcare environment and develop the skills and thinking necessary to harness the multiple, often paradoxical forces within it to effect change.
The course welcomes professionals from diverse backgrounds, including healthcare (both clinical and non-clinical fields).

The grant covers tuition fees and accommodation in Oxford, plus round-trip expenses from the country of residence to the United Kingdom (please refer to Travel Grant Chart for fellowships). Other expenses not mentioned above must instead be covered by the candidate.
